We only ate breakfast at the hotel so can’t comment on the restaurant you mentioned. Tried both seafood restaurants near Eagle Square as well as the Fish Farm Restaurant. Although Fish Farm better then the other 2, when compared to what Thailand offers, we’ll stay in LGW but eat in Thailand! If you find a good place, please let us know since we’re going back. Heard about Wonderland, but it was closed on Friday.
Langkawi is not the best place in Malaysia to sample local/asian cuisine and I tend to eat mainly in the resorts. However there is a decent Chinese seafood restaurant in Kuah along the main road leading to the Westin. Its towards the end of the town on your left before you reach Eagle Square (as you travel towards the Westin). Simple eatery and caters mainly to tour groups. Name of the place is either
Prawn Village or
Prawn Farm. For really good seafood you need to head to Kota Kinabalu though.
BTW the airport code for Langkawi is LGK.
LGW is the code for London Gatwick, dont think you wish to stay there for your holidays
