Langkawi is not the best place in Malaysia to sample local/asian cuisine and I tend to eat mainly in the resorts. However there is a decent Chinese seafood restaurant in Kuah along the main road leading to the Westin. Its towards the end of the town on your left before you reach Eagle Square (as you travel towards the Westin). Simple eatery and caters mainly to tour groups. Name of the place is either Prawn Village or Prawn Farm. For really good seafood you need to head to Kota Kinabalu though.

BTW the airport code for Langkawi is LGK.
LGW is the code for London Gatwick, dont think you wish to stay there for your holidays
