There's no valid reason that shoe harassment should exist in the first place and getting people to enroll in Extorted Traveller to avoid this harassment is nothing more than a shake down.

Spiff 100% on this one. NFW (look, caps) am i gonna a) give the gov't money for something like this where the gov't as our "protector from the axis of evil" should be doing this anyway and b) do you think i would trust the gov't or any of their contracted companies with any of my personal information other than the bare minimum such as what they get when i pay taxes, renew my d/l etc) & yeah i know they can get additonal information anyway, but that a discussion for another day folks.

#1-a laptop containing the registered traveller database was reproted stolen
#2-the compnay that maintains the registered traveller database reported that their system was broken into by hackers
