This is very assuring to the people who actually fly NW year in and year out and I applaud WP for it. Any comp in which one gets something one doesn't pay for, like upgrades for an elite member, is given at the discretion of the airline. Why is that so difficult to understand? Play by the rules that everyone else plays by and you'll get your elite status. If you're really such a big shot business spender rayk, then I would suggest that you might get better results by talking with your gigantic wallet instead of running around whining on FT. You would do this by paying for F tickets every time, thus avoiding the necessity to deal with "morons" who, for reasons that seem to elude you, aren't going along with your desire to get something for nothing. Given your attitude, I would venture to guess that the "morons" would appreciate not having to deal with you, either.
