has anyone any information that can help me. BA have waitlisted me in D but it doesn't show up on the AA booking. I have also reserved in J class to hold a seat.

Thanks again

AA does have D class on DFW-YVR ; picking a day at random , from Expert Flyer, I can see J,D and I classes offered. If D is unavailable, then you will indeed need to book in L class

Are you making the booking with BA or AA?

Why have you reserved J class? Are you prepared to pay for J rather than fly in economy if the waitlist does not clear? Holding a J booking reduces the chance of the waitlist clearing I would suspect
