Yes and no. First, not every business person visiting NY needs to be in the actual parts of the city that is closer to LGA. Long Island, Queens and Brooklyn all have a growing business environment too. For those who do need to get to Manhattan from JFK, it is very easy to do so (and pretty fast) with the new AirTrain...and MUCH cheaper than taking a cab from LGA. For those who don't mind spending big bucks, you can fly on US Helicopter to Wall St. in 8 minutes.
While LGA is close to many areas of NYC, sometimes it is just not worth it when you consider the congestion and delays. JFK is not great with ground delays, but it is getting better and I would take it over LGA any day of the week. JetBlue is one airline (of a few) which has proved JFK has potential. EWR is another story.
