Er, is this a serious question? If so I think you need to get an atlas and a dictionary, and look up the word "international". Unless Mr Blair launches another invasion very soon now Italy is a separate nation from the United Kingdom!

I presume that you don't hold an EU passport, so my I would probably go for the FCC and transfer airside without going through immigration or customs. Allow at least 90 minutes for the security check.
