If you fly a lot, say about 200k a year, I'd make recommendation: don't fly with Continental alone. I'd split it between Continental and American. Once you hit Executive Platinum on American, you get upgraded to business a lot--they fly business class on transcontinental routes and some key routes into and out of DFW and ORD. It's worth it. Going forward, I plan to fly 75k on Continental and the rest on AA.
