I'm looking at doing the star alliance rtw starting early Feb.
I'm looking at YYZ, YYC, YVR, HNL, SYD, AKL, CHC, MEL, JBE (Johannesburg, not sure of the code), NBO, ZUR, LHR, YHZ.
I wish they had an Aussie airline available on this package, it would make my life a tremendous amount easier as I have to spend a lot of time in Sydney next year. My stopovers on the way to Sydney are going to be short. I will be in Sydney for a few months before going to NZ for a month. Flying back to Melbourne where I will have to find my own way back to Sydney for a few more months. Then, I will take a month going to Perth over land and fly out of PER to South Africa. Spend some time in SA and surrounding and fly to Kenya for a bit. Then a few days in Switzerland and England then back to Canada. 28,993 miles, just under the 29k cut-off.
Hello Starscream,
Your mileage planning is optimal! Bet you have spent a lot of time getting it <29,000 with MINIMAL excess! FYI: Johannesburg is JNB.
My routing: MEL/BKK/KUL/SIN/CGK/SIN/FRA/YYZ/YXU/YYZ/MCO/DEN/LAX/AKL/MEL. (29,000) The stopovers are KUL, CGK, FRA, YXU, MCO. I tend to start my RTW from Aust cos' it's much cheaper to start from DownUnder. I flew one way from Asia to MEL to start that ticket. We used to live in MEL and have been doing the RTW for a few years till we moved to Asia.
For your internal flights within Aust. Try
