The reason the fare is cheaper is on aa.com the outbound leg from LHR to MIA is booking in to D rather than I. It seems that reginal fare buckets are working against me on this occasions.
One AA rep I spoke to did say the fare basis was KQ???? rather than KUPP26T. It could well be the case that KUPP26T fares can only be booked by AA.
