I don't think I would be safe (kidnapped, beheaded) in:
1. Iraq
2. Iran
3. Syria
4. South Lebanon
5. South Phillippines
6. Sinai Peninsula
These are the areas that I have been told could be hazardous to my health. I have been told that Afghanistan, Pakistan and several African countries could be VERY dangerous. I don't know if I believe that or not but, there are plenty of safe, beautiful, friendly, don't care that you are an American places to visit that I can avoid them until the day the climate changes or I cease to exist.
