I stayed there this summer and would agree with your evaluation. For 50 euro it would be hard to beat. It was clean and reasonably quiet. I took the hotel shuttle bus after arriving at CDG about 5:00 pm and was checked in at the hotel and back to CDC within about thirty minutes to take the RER into Paris for dinner. Going into Paris was easy, but getting back was hard because of an RER aberration. But I did get back to the hotel about 1:30.
I was in the lobby the next morning at 7:30 to take the shuttle for a 10:00 AF flight to IAD. I was checked in (J) and had more than an hour to kill in the lounge before heading to the gate. The hotel would have been just right for me except the shower attachment in the tub was not working and I had to take a bath--but the water was hot and the bed was firm. I would definitely stay there again. It is very, very basic, but I was only there to sleep.
It is important to make sure you are at the correct Ibis when you book. There are four that claim to be in the CDG "area." Here is the info:
