After staying at the hotel I could only agree that the reviews seemed like they were from some complete other place, as this place was fantastic. You just have to look at a large cross section and not let two or three out of scores of reviews sway you every time. Some people really do just enjoy being bitter and biting I think.
Trip Advisor does have an option that lets a property managament post a rebuttal. I've seen it used a couple of times when reviews were clearly out of line.
