Actually, the "official" rule is that you
CAN use points for a one-night stay during the week at city hotels, but you
CANNOT use FFNs for a one-night stay during the week at city hotels. That has been the rule since they changed the GP rules (1-2 years ago) in which they decided to allow 1 & 2 night stays at city hotels using points.............
Now whether they enforce this policy or not is a different story. I do know that you CANNOT book a 1 or 2 night FFN stay at a city hotel thru hyatt.com. It will give an error message saying against the rules.
