The midnight cutoff relates to the time in the zone where the flight departs and should have nothing to do with the location of the call centre. Anyway, I called from Ontario for a YYZ flight. Me smells something fishy.
I had two flights last week that were upgraded ,each time,at the 7 day window.
The tickets were Tango Plus.The out bound flight left full in Y and 3 empty J seats.The rebound had 50% capacity in J and Y(rather light load,IMO)
My flights all connected through YYZ.
