I'll be going to Haridwar and Rishikesh this weekend, and would appreciate any recommendations for places to stay. My tentative plan is to overnight in Haridwar and day-trip to Rishikesh, but that could be reversed if necessary. Rishikesh's top choice seems to be Ananda Resort, but the price is out my league for this little solo excursion; I'm considering Haveli Hari Ganga in Haridwar, but the price seems a little steep for what you get and the reviews on Tripadvisor (all two of them) seem mixed. Any other ideas? Tips on places to see, eat etc also welcome. And no, I'm not going there for the yoga
