BD or VS miles. Please advise...

guys,
have a question. Need some clarification as well.
I'm going to India in december and the ticket is issued by VS.

from jfk to lhr is on VS metal with N booking (i'll get 50% miles)
from lhr to bom is on VS metal with W booking (i'll get 150% miles)
from bom to lhr is on BD metal with Economy booking (100% miles)
from lhr to jfk is on VS metal with N booking (50% miles).

Now originally I was booked on BD E+, (therefore the triple miles applied). Now Virgin has rebooked me on VS Premium Economy. Don't konw if I can still get triple miles or not.

But, I'll try to upgrade to Premium Economy if the price is good enough at check-in. If you were in my shoes, which frequent flyer account would you open? I have United right now, and can only use it on the BD leg. I don't have a BD or a VS account yet and didn't feel like opening up a new one until I have done some research. So please advise me what to do.

If you were in my shoes, what would you do?
Thank You for your replies...
