I can concur with your assessment insofar it applies to frequent road warriors/travelers. However for those who do not travel that often, then beefing up their Starwood or Marriot account is next to impossible, and therefore, Hilton with its very generous credit card offerings and bi-maothly super 50,000 point bonuses, not to mention the Fall/Winter and Summer double points bonuses, really leaves the others in the dust, as point earning and future hotel stays go.

For these people, me, Diamond is unrealistic, Platinum too, and to achieve points necessary in either Starwood or Marriot for such free stays, is well nigh impossible (since stays are infequent); therfore, it is Hilton for me!
