What I'm trying to do is get a pair of award seats BCN-KUL in J, and snag the MH codeshare (KL4103, MH metal) that leaves at noon but it's not coming up.

Anyone know?
KLM is never giving away award seats in D-class on the MH codeshare. Even an award on the KL809 AMS KUL will be very hard to get by and seats are usually only released at the very last moment, unless the flight is really not filling up, which hardly ever happens, as KL809/810 is always full in WBC. Even Z-class availability is a nightmare on KL809/810.

You will likely have an easier time trying to get your hands on a WBC award seat on KL837/838 AMS SIN AMS, where D-class is more regularly available, although availability is still not great.

As for the different timing between KL809 and MH9017, KLM has recently updated its schedule from the originally planned 21.00 departure to a new 20.45 departure. It is likely that MH has not yet adjusted its codeshared timing for the flight. There is most certainly only one flight, operating as KL809 AMS KUL CGK. In fact, this flight will only be operating 6 times weekly this winter because of lack of equipment at KL.

If you care to fly all the way up to CGK, which should be possible on an award, let me know so we can maybe meet up...
