How the heck are you folks making it through security with prohibited items? I travel fairly often and 9 times out of 10 I am "randomly" selected for further screening. Lately it has been a little better in that I'm selected on the way out but not on the way back home.

The only thing I can think of is that I always travel at the last minute. I don't remember the last time I made a reservation even seven days in advance.

The main thing I wanted to say here is this...You can buy prepaid DHL envelopes for around $10-12 and then ship items to the hotel. The prepaid price even includes pickup. It is a GREAT buy. I'm pretty sure that a woman's make-up would fit in an evelope even though it isn't flat. Just use some bubble wrap.

I have been super annoyed that hotels have not started putting toothpaste in the rooms lately. I'm going to start putting a request on my reservation to see if that eliminates the hassle of having to request it and wait for someone to bring it to me.
