SNA-Anywhere is just expensive. When Frontier entered the LAX-SFO market, I jumped on the fare (as I had to fly once a week). Cost makes SNA my least probable departure airport, and I live a scant 10 minutes from it.
I did pick up at SNA-OAK/SJC-SNA trip for $118 all in, but that is RARE.
