I have family in the Inland Empire. I make the marathon trip from Sydney every 6 months on Air New Zealand to the US. Usually fly to SFO then fly to ONT via LAX on a combo of 733 and those dinky prop planes from LAX ONT. I find the fares very reasonable. Great they upped the non stops from SFO ONT to 4 daily.

Now that I have worked out how to take Public Transport to San Bernadino ( a dump of a place is ever there was one) i just catch the IFLYLAX bus to Union Sq then Metrolink to SB. Much quicker - and cheaper - than driving.

BTW Last time I flew UA SFO LAX on a 757 I was upgraded to FC. All we got was a bag of prezels and two glasses of wine but what do you expect for a one hour flight!
