We are celebrating 60 years of Northrine-Westphalia today, so all our counter terrorist specialists ( I guess we have about 4, 2 of them are employed on a part time base ) are already drunk by this hour, so no emergency landings in DUS today...

Seriously though, obviously there is a massive terrorist thread at the moment, but it is nothing better than overreacting unwashed masses, like we saw with Monarch in Spain a couple of days ago.

Maybe someone can inspire my fantasy, but I do not see how two F 16 jets should prevent a terrorist from blowing up an aircraft once he is on board and has explosives with him...

As pointed numerous times already in the LH forum. We need the Politicians get together asap, find logic solutions how to fund the extra security , make the airlines adjust their schedules, especially their MCT`s. The fuel costs for the F 16 alone, probably pay a good chunk of an extra, explosive detecting device at Schiphol...
