Yes the gelcaps are banned, but would a Robitussin gel cap be a OK OTC drug? I still am not clear about a 1/2 oz bottle of nasal spray. It's not a drug, so does the 4 oz include a bottle of non-drug nasal conditioner?
OTOH, not that TSA are food or rocket scientists, but a gel cap of fish oil is a food supplement, not an OTC drug. All the stuff at the health food store, even the ones with borderline "this might be rumored to cure ____" anecdotal infomercial claims, are allowed to be sold and not regulated as drugs because they are classified food supplements.
Perhaps TSA can get some help from FDA to clear this up.
