Though I haven't stayed in the WDW Hilton, I did stay at the Doubletree Guest Suites with kids years ago. It was nice to have the extra space. We traveled in the offseason so had no trouble with the shuttle service. But there are other options as well. I stayed at a Hampton Inn - Lake Buena Vista once for a conference held at the Embassy Suites. Those two Hilton properties and a Homewood Suites were all very near Disney and they also offer shuttle service to the parks. The Embassy was PACKED with kids when I visited. It or the Homewood might be a better option and better value for your points.
