I stayed at this hotel last October and had some bad experiences -- on the first day, about 30 minutes after we checked in, two supervisory maids came in to check the cleaniness and talked about how dirty the room and how bad a job the maid did -- everything they said was in Spanish, assuming I didn't know Spanish - - of course they never got someone to clean it up. Tv console fell apart, later woke up at 1 AM with a flying roach in the room. Second morning at 7 AM, they were drilling outside our window -- LITERALLY - we were on the third floor and the roof overhang for the entrance was directly outside our window. It was interesting to open the blinds and see construction workers 3 feet away.

On the second day they moved us to another room (and some $ credit).

As far as location, I enjoyed being close to Downtown Disney. It was easy enough to walk, there is no reason to need to take the bus.

The buses to Disney and Epcot were generally good. On one day, one of the buses didn't show up, so we ended up waiting an hour instead of 30 minutes (buses come every 30 minutes).

Even though we had a horrible experience, I'd say the hotel is pretty decent. There is a Benihana attached to the hotel, so that's a nice plus. There is also a car rental place in the hotel, which worked for us because we used a rental car for just one day (there is a decent bus service you can use from the airport).

If you are interested there is a Doubletree only about 1/3 mile away that uses the same bus service (if you are interested in HHonors points and it may be cheaper?) (note: there is another Doubletree close by, called Doubletree Club - - its not on the bus service, so I'd avoid it).
