Do you think calling and getting an answer guarantees that answer to be correct? Do you think calling 10 times and getting the same answer guarantees that answer to be correct? 100 times? A call every five minutes?
Point being, I don't think any info given by a frontline employee on a weekend in response to a call at this point will matter if someone up the chain reacts negatively to this fare and declares it a "mistake," whereas making 10,000 calls on the subject (collectively) could raise the profile of the issue enough to result in a negative action.
The best way to remain reassured, IMO, is to remain quiet . . . very quiet.
