Maybe on CO, but not the case on DL. Earlier this year, I (CO Plat) booked JFK-NCE in coach on DL. My CO status & number were duly noted on my reservation, along with my chosen front of coach (but not bulkhead) center aisle. Checked a couple of weeks before my flight I found that I no longer had a seat reserved I called DL & was told a family had requested to be seated together, and as I was travelling solo, they gave them my seat. But they didn't assign me any other seat and now all that was left were middles seats in the rear!! I ended up cancelling the whole trip just before departure, so it was a moot point-- but just beware.
