Actually I might argue your point (all without using banned words or trying to circumvent the words....). As is known, the Mods in the Delta Forum have actually set up a thread in which comments about Moderation are welcome and I've taken on several questions about Moderation within this forum.

As you might know, virtually every major respectable bulletin bard like FlyerTalk as well limits discussions about Moderation. Based on the types of things I've seen posted, it's easy to see why - almost 100% of the time a member conveniently leaves out the their actions, thus creating an unbalanced view for others to judge. As well, many of the decisions are simply judgment calls.

But I did want to correct your statement "One thing I definitely WOULD point out, though, were it allowed, is that questioning a moderator on this issue will a fast-track to suspend-ville 100% of the time..."

There's probably more to this than we have time for today. What about how thew words are used. For instance, calling out another member using words from the gutter probably has less impact than referring to an act by a non-member. And of course using the words in a title of the thread vs. within post #34 might make differences as well. And some words simply stay on FT because no one bothered to report the infraction, and surely we are not here to mandate that our volunteers are required to read each and every post word for word.

The way i see it, if you have to use such words to make your point, your point isn't all that important to FlyerTalk.

As for the original poster, we're glad that one of our volunteers was able to point you in the right direction for the answer. It might be worthy of a few members here on FlyerTalk to actually read the TOS one of these days, it might save everyone a few problems.
