I tend to agree. Even when I flew Delta constantly (before 2003), no front-line employee ever indicated that he or she recognized my name from FlyerTalk -- or mentioned FlyerTalk at all without my mentioning it first. FlyerTalk does seem to have a good reputation, however, among employees who know what it is.
