I wasn't aware of that, and I haven't experienced it (yet). I think they do address you by name if you're in business class (later, during food service).

All I said was I don't like being called "Sir" because it's too stiff, it's not friendly--it's not the way Aussies generally express friendliness. I'm happy with a quick smile, maybe a "G'day" or "Hi" or whatever (which is what they get from me, by the way, despite your inferences). That's how the Yanks do it, and it's good enough for me. Why does this have to be so complex?!
