I am surprised that they aren't offering incentives - through bonuses, cheap flights, free companion, etc. The frightened people won't be taking advantage of this, but the people who are not afraid to fly will and fill up the seats and the fearful ones will hear about full planes flying and gain confidence. Lots of people who are not afraid to fly would if they price were right. I flew to Rome last Feb because the fare was $330.00 on AA - with bonuses. Had the price not been so great, I wouldn't have gone. I think some of these cuts are too soon and too drastic. I am very sad that the CTO are closing - I think that is a big mistake and at minimum they should create at least 1 AT each airport - people who know what they are doing.
