We see this aircraft almost every day hanging around the cargo area at YYZ...and I am sure YUL is served by B747s and B777s, as well as A340s, so surely its runways should be good enough for an AN225. But glad to read you had some excitement in your day as a result of this sighting.
I recall one year when this beast was featured at the old Edmonton/Namao Air Show. While it was parked on the tarmac for tours, a part of the inside was set up as a shop and the Ukrainian air crew were selling coats and hats and all sorts of souvenirs of the glory that was once the USSR.
