I have a family member (not immediate, else I'd have to hurt 'em for this) working the FIOS project for Verizon. They are going to oversubscribe that service (from a peering/upstream bandwidth standpoint) to a level that will absolutely blow your mind. Once your entire block or town gets FIOS, plan on having it feel like cable in a crowded neighborhood....

Enjoy it while you can (I don't say that with malice, either--I'd have it if I could get it).
