"Weather alerts impact operation at Toronto Pearson Airport
Yesterday, Toronto Pearson Airport experienced six back-to-back Red Alerts from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. As a result, some flights were either cancelled or delayed. The operation was also affected by a ground stop and subsequent ground delay program into Toronto Airport due to weather. There were also Air Traffic Control delays at Newark and Chicago Airports.

"Even though it was a challenging day, we demonstrated our ability to work as a team. All departments worked together to ensure that we delivered the best possible customer recovery. We all rose to the occasion and ensured that our customers arrived safely. By all accounts, customer reaction to yesterday's operation was excellent."
