To be honest I do not know the curiculum the special training facilitie provides hence cannot comment on it. However I am sure their is some aspect of on the job training somewhere. For Christ sake I find it extreamly pityful to go to extreames to warrant a full blown complaint to Emirates just because another flight attendant was showing the workings of the ins and out of a seat to another attendant whilst in flight. It is ridiculous!- I wouldn't be suprised if he went to the Emirates Board of Directors- Hell why don't he put a lawsuit while he's at it. It wasn't even his chair! but a free unused one at that.
Lets not beat around the bush deep down its the pompous atiutude to show to the unfortunate and the non privledged passengers/staff that you are THE BEST, YOU ARE RICH and therefore travel in FIRST CLASS and You dictate not take orders, and most definetly you don't like to be in the COMPANY of a newbie staff member new to your First Class Cacoon. That is what I see in that ironic complaint made buy Guy Betsy. Most of my travels have been in economy and been in business class ocassionally and have not had the privilege to fly in First Class. complaint" it - it portrays him as a snob, a person who is not down to earth, a whinger thats not accomodating to slight changes to the norm. You may not be like that Guy, but airing that complaint on the forum has let you down to a certain portion of the readers and thats all I have to say.
