I was checking a reservation with an agent at the Elite Desk in Chisolm today and she told me that effective 4/19/06 NW Elites will be exempt (or waivered) from the $15.00 Coach ChoiceSM charge.
Also the Coach ChoiceSM seats will be moved further back in the a/c and some of the popular aisle seats will be held in "P" for Elites.
Apparently the NW Elites will be the only Elites (Skyteam Elites will still be required to pay) exempt, and will be able to select Coach ChoiceSM seats 36 hours before scheduled departure time via nwa.com or at the airport with e-checkin kiosks.
NW elites should be receiving an official announcement in the next few days, according to the elite desk agent I spoke with today.
