They panned Bongo Room (1470 N Milwaukee, 773.489.0690) stating they love the stuffed French toast but not enough to put up with the wait and surly service.
Mrs. Mikey likes it and I love the Bongo room, and have many times put up with long waits and service that's just this side of surly. Banana pancakes and the Chocolate Tower rule. Omelets are pretty good.
However, it's not the big brunch buffet that you may find at the Drake and other hotels.
