Since the United forum is down...

I figured I'd ask it here.

Earlier this month I booked a flight from OXR to SEA in Sept using my M+ miles. The res agent told me that the flight would be held for 48 hours and then ticketed. I called UA to check on seats for 3 upcoming itns and the res agent said that the OXR-SEA itn had never been ticketed, only held for 48 hrs and has since been cancelled. There is now no award ticket availability from OXR on the dates I need to go. The res agent offered to sell me a seat, but the fare is higher than I'd like to pay for a ticket to SEA.

Any suggestions?
