There were no paycuts prior to January 1, 2005. There were benefit cuts, but no paycuts. Pilots took some benefit cuts as well during the same time.

I do not recall the FA's or anyone else getting 32%+ increases in mid-2001. Your sophistry is crap as DL pilots are making EXACTLY THE SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY that they were earning in mid 2001,
Most DL pilots didn't get a 32% raise in 2001 either. The exact raise varied depending on equipment type. Keep in mind however, that most DL employees got anywhere from 3 to 4 raises between 1996 and 2000, when the DL pilots received NO raises. Most pilots are making far less than they did in 2001. Most are making similar to what they made in 1996.

furthermore almost every single DL pilot pre-2001 that wants/wanted to work could have done so from mid-2003
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by this, however DL has 475 pilots still on furlough. The furlough count would be much higher if not for the fact that so many DL pilots retired.

I don't think the pilot group is against taking another paycut. They are offering DL another $140 million in cuts. However, that cut along with the previous cut will mean pilots have lost almost half of their pay. This is a larger cut than any other employee group by far.

How easy would it be for those on this board to take a 50% paycut?

Keep in mind, that DL's management has admitted that if DL could attain the same revenue premium that other legacy carriers have, that DL would bring in $2.5 Billion extra annually. DL's problem at this point isn't pilot cost (or any other labor cost), it's REVENUE.
