One time I accidentally left my knife in my carry-on in CLT and they didn't notice. That was weird walking around the airport and boarding a plane with a really prohibited item (only step below a gun). On the return, I didn't want to check my carry-on, so I "accidentally" left it in my carry-on, but this time the TSA found it, so I had to check my backpack.
