SCL-CCS if you are brave, and SCL-IPC if you are traveling the right day of the week, are 2 long routes in SA. But there is no advantage in avoiding Asia if you are flying SCL-AKL, as you still must buy a xONE5 (if not via Asia you must go SYD-JNB-Europe so you wind up buying Africa instead of Asia; and in Africa there really aren't any long mileage runs.
