BRITISH AIRWAYS and its "oneworld" airline alliance partners said their global link-up would be cemented on February 1. BA, AMR CORP, Canadian Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Qantas will link their frequent-flyer programmes, smooth transfers for passengers between their flights and launch some round-the-world fares. The airlines, forming one of several global air alliances, said their 220,000 employees had spent 255 man years on training and communications to deliver what the new brand offers.
