Had a great time in Rio...... The women are beautiful, the party is always on and the food is great............
Glad you had a good time but I did say to let me know if you needed further guidance.

Your post is a little unclear but I'm guessing you were quoted the following.
S.4 - R$1500 : There is no way there were referring to the grandstand (arquibancada) seats @ R$70. Instead they were offering you a box (frisa) which has room for 6 people. AFAIK R$1,500 could well have been less than face value.

S.5 - R$1300 : They were most likely offering you a box (frisa) or even a table & chairs (cadeira) which have room for 6 people. AFAIK R$1,300 may well have been less than face value.

S.5 - R$300 : Almost certainly the grandstand (arquibancada) seats which had a face value of R$140. Quite a mark-up and other brokers most likely had better deals.

FWIW even if you didn't want to spend big money you could have turned up and got a ticket outside for S.6 or S.13 for R$5 or R$10. Although these have a poor view you could at least have sampled some of the atmosphere inside.

If you think the women were beautiful you should come back again as many of the BYTs head out to Salvador, Buzios and Porto Seguro for Carnaval.
