gleff - if you are planning to discontinue the Delta card, you could call AMEX and ask to "change product" and your Delta card would be converted to a Sheraton (now called Preferred Guest Card I think) - it avoids another check on your credit which could be a problem if you have too many requests for credit (so I hear). I had 2 Delta cards - I changed one to Sheraton, and one to Honors - I got the sign up bonus that comes with each of those cards.
