My room on the 26th floor was a bit small, but beautifully decorated. I loved falling asleep in front of the floor-to-ceiling window with the half-moon rising over the BKK skyline.

I visited the Diplomat Bar three times, and wish I'd been able to spend even more time there. I had two bowls of Tom Kha Gai soup in the cafe, and both times it cleared my sinuses and made me forget I had a cold.

Skip the onsite spa, and visit the spa in the attached All Seasons Mall, which offers a one-hour Thai massage for only 400 BHT.

The food in the Exec. Lounge was inconsistent, and I enjoyed the earlier references to the bacon. Bacon luck was a matter of timing for me. On Sunday morning, I found the bacon to be crisp and delicious. When I went back for more, it had turned into big slabs of fatty pork. Interestingly, "Mexican night" on Monday evening, had some good offerings.

Lovely pool, but because it is in the shade most of the day, I wish it was heated a little bit.
This is the most to the point summary of the Conrad BKK I have ever read on this forum. ^ for a great summary. The exec lounge is overated with poor service. I have had considerably better service in Eastern European Hilton lounges and more genuine warmth tfrom the staff.

The Thai staff try hard and have the right attitude but seem to be poorly trained or very poorly managed. I avoid the Exec lounge and floor by using the Conrad Residence, this nets all of the benefits of the Conrad (HH points, use of facilities etc.) plus a decent breakfast, lower nightly costs and hugely better rooms.
