I suggest you call them and clarify the above
since I have tried on more than one ocasion to do what you say you did.
What I think will happen is when you pay with Diners you will get 20% off and when you pay with your Visa you will get miles.
No miles and 20% off with Diners. Programs are now administered by one company.

P.S. Before editing the post I decided to call and clarify the above and it is as I thought no miles with Diners Club only 20% off.
