When CX reconfigured the recline of their J seats they had to take out the second tray table under the PTV. Now on the 34D the bulkhead seats (11ACDGHK) still have that second tray table (though for DG that's because it needs to prop up the bassinet). It might be said therefore that bulkhead seats still with that second tray table therefore have the old recline.

Having said that I did not notice any substantial difference, mainly because I find it virtually impossible on CX J to get the seat to a position where I have had it before. If you can get the sweet spot on the seat I am out like a light - if you can't then I toss and turn through the whole flight.

As for deadheads, it depends which route. AFAIK MNL has quite a lot of deadheading cabin crew (who are not entitled to F); SYD/MEL/AKL have a lot of deadheading flight crew.
