First post here. Reveiwed the site, and loved the articles and posts for earning miles. I currently have a Delta-Amex card + Continental visa card.

I fly frequently to Europe and the middle east using Delta or their partners. Since my dates are flexible and I book in advance, I usually get the reward tickets I want on the dates I want. I used to fly with Continental a lot before, but not anymore. I have relocated to Atlanta where Delta operates, so I do not really need to Continental card anymore.

The problem is with the Continental visa. Dates are always blocked and if I want to use their miles on Delta flights it is almost impossible. Not enough award seats.

Another problem is that not all US businesses accept Amex. Some require Visa or Mastercard, so my Delta Amex is not accepted everywhere.

I charge all of my business and personal expenses to the Amex (phone, grocesseirs, internet etc.).

I am looking for a one CC solution, preferably Visa or Mastercard so it is accepted anywhere, that will give me miles on any airline so I do not have to limit myself only to Delta. I heard about Capital One card that gives you 1:1 ratio on every airline with no blackout dates, but the small prints do limit the price of the tickets.

In any case, if someone has a good advice or recommendation, I will be happy to hear it.
