If an officer gets shot, he doesn't get millions, his career could be over, and he may die. Who deserves more? What entertainers make is even more bazaar than what athletes make. When one of them puts their life on the line, or puts out one fire, then maybe they'll deserve about 1/10th of what they make.

The labor market -- and marketplace that a good portion of Americans and the world support financially and otherwise -- has led to the salary structures (or non-salaries/low salaries in the case of the majority of professional athletes and entertainers).
If you oppose the labor markets functioning in such a manner, perhaps a lesson in Soviet Economics 101 would help. But even the Chinese and Vietnamese are increasingly not practicing such lessons. So perhaps you need to attend North Korea's Pyongyang University? The TSA taking lessons from there?
