Well after all the will they/won't they I finally checked into the Hilton Tokyo this morning with no problems. The very professional lady in the exec lounge apologised for the fare error(!) and handed me the now standard letter "there's been a cock up, will honour rate bla bla bla..." After careful consideration I accepted their apology for selling me a £160 room for £1 and didn't mention the distress that such a low rate caused
I can't speak more highly of the staff here - without prompting the lady even asked if I was a frequent flyer with any airlines as I could earn miles for my stay (after enroling me in HHonours) which I wasn't expecting. Great room on the 36th floor and my LAN cable arrived literally 2 minutes after I rang down for one ^
They've been good to their word about HHonouring November reservations so lets hope everyone staying later gets the same luck.
